I'm A Dumb Schmuck - Lost Locking Wheelnut!

Recommended Posts

So replaced both track rod ends on Rangie today and test drove it with locking wheelnut key still in one of the wheels. It obviously made a bid for freedom soomewhere along the route!

So, how do I remove the now safely lcoked wheelnuts without the wheelnut locky thingy?

if it's an LR one just drop by dealership and buy another one. Or yes you can get a tool to remove any locking nut.

Cheers

Or hammer an impact socket on and undo it. That's basically what the removal tools I've seen are.
