minivin
hi caramba! however I wonder what G-forces are felt by the occupants in such an instance as so little bodywork is available to absorb the energy..... maybe a crick in the neck would be the least of the issues
western
I watched that when it was aired on TV, not much left of it.
Ben Jordan
It cuts off before he say's all occupants would be dead.
FridgeFreezer
To be pedantic, the Smart was very much survivable but ISTR he said the occupants would be dead in almost any vehicle that hit that barrier that fast because of the G-forces. Another useful 5th gear test, then.
Guest MJG
Blimey better than I thought Mmm yes the 'cage' as Tiff described it survived but the passengers certainly would not - G forces aside, with so little in the way of an impact/crumple zone, massive lower limb, pelvis and abdominal injuries would have resulted...... just look at what is where the occupants legs would be after the impact........yes the doors still opened but that would just make it easier for the Paramedics/Fire crew to remove the corpses.
