NegevLandRover
So what does it take to make a forum a good one ? Obviously several things but the main ones must be ease of use, forum content and last but by no means least it's users. So if most of the ex-LRE users are over here now and this place is more free of restrictions than was LRE what on earth do people miss ablout LRE ?! Yes I am interested, purely for curiosity's sake, to see what becomes of LRE but other than that I personally am more than happy with this place as a better option than the original ! So help me understand the obvious pining, exhibited by some people here, for the LRE forum that I seem to sense here. IMHO there is nothing missing here that was there and there are a few added bonuses to boot not least of which must be the absolute and total independence. landi41
Hi Adam; That pretty well sums up my thoughts on the matter also........... At the other place i felt quite at home but always had the sense "big brother" was keeping tabs.. no, no, not the Mods.....the other "big brother" Sort of had the feeling of walking on eggshell at times............... Well here we are and its up to us to keep it rolling, it will be what we want it to be

Guest #42
But it does get kind of dull with half a dozen posts here referring to LRE and often giving the same information.
Mark90
I reckon that now the 'rabble' have gone LRE will keep the forum running

Turbocharger
Very helpfully, LRE told me how many unread replies a thread had. But at least here they're not censored (- LRE), dismally dull (- LRO) or packed full of banter and swearing (- ORRP). That's not a dig at ORRP, it's just a different atmosphere here and for the better IMHO.
Des Morgan
Perhaps they think they're just covering all the bases but I understand what you are saying Adam. Or very insecure & can't quite yet cut the Umbilical just in case it breaks out into "The All New, all singing, all dancing, LRe" & very sorry, but we didn't really mean to treat you like your Paternal Grandfather".
