muddyplugger
I'm sorry for coming over all simple and excited, and I know loads of you chaps/ettes have done this before (and bigger) but, I was amazed at the difference in my new tyres! I have mostly posted this as it would have been useful to me when I was choosing tyres! From a 205x70x16 to a 235x85x16. I know its not much but i'm easily pleased!!! Les Henson
Big tyres do look good on a 90. 235/85/16 on a standard suspension set-up looks excellent. What rims are they? Les.

Brian
5 tyres and rims delivered for £415. I was chuffed to bits! Interesting ! 235/85x16 is the standard size on all the Defenders in South Africa and has been for some time. Except for the double cabs and the game viewer, which have 7.50x16. But the price of tyres here is a bit more. I just replaced four tyres earlier this year and they cost me R5600 just for the tyres ! (£500 roughly) BFG ATs Still, we have cheaper fuel I think, at about 50p/litre :-) Just as well, since my V8 drinks even more than I do ! LR90
This will amuse you... 235/70x16 on the left and 35" Simex on the Ibex. Check out Moglite's site if you'd like to see what the 44" tyre in the middle is intended for
