chrism
Afternoon all Im running short on ideas for some way of actuating the lockers on my portals. I have heard some people are fitting air solenoids to the axles but i dont really fancy that. I have a couple of dumper/telehandler handbrake cables at home which look like they are long enough but im not sure on a decent way of keeping them locked on. The ox lockers have some fancy block which looks very nice but dont really fancy paying that much and sending them over the pond. Anybody got any more ideas? 6cyltdi
Speak to Hugh at portal rover he has just come up with the perfect solution on his 110.... http://www.portalrover.co.uk/ His contact number is on there, i believe it's a throttle cable for a lorry or something he is using and it's a readily available part you can buy off the shelf.... Astro_Al
Well, I'm a ponce and have the 'fancy blocks' from Ox for mine. This frees up my standard Mog difflock mechanisms, so let me know if you're interested. If that doesn't appeal, how about a couple of handbrake ratchet & pawls? Cheers, Al. Warthog
Could you not use the mechanism from a autobox shifter to do the job?
