general-confusion
A friend of mine has a 96 disco 300 tdi fitted with electric windows front and rear . The rears have both stopped working at the same time , i have checked the fuse which is ok , ruled out the rear window isolation switch as it has been tested and is fine but there is no power to it or either rear window switches....is it likely to be a bad solder connection on the window lift ecu in the glovebox. I need to help him quickly as he is off on holiday in a week and in this heat his kids will need the rear windows down on the journey to Cornwall Thanks in advance
PEASEY
yes mate it will be the solder joint in the lift ecu its quite easy to spot if you need any help just ask,one word of warning though dont drop you screwdriver on the crash sensor underneath it nightmare to sort if you do.all things being equal it should only take about 15 to 20 mins to do best of luck.
