Seat belts 45/90 degree?

Just spent the afternoon taking the hard top off (again) and putting the truck cab on.

My old seat belt inertia reels mounted on the side of the tub in the back, quite far back, the belt then came out at about 45 degrees and went to the D ring then down. The truck cab has it's own mounting point for the inertia reel at the bottom, but when you mount it there the belt goes straight up.

All looks fine like that but the inertia reel won't work that way up, I think it's down to that pendulum type thing that drops into the correct place when it's the right way up, so the seat belt will always lock up when you're going down steep hills.

Anyway - is there anyway to alter them to work the correct way up? Any other suggestions? Anything to look for when buying some replacements (ie do RRC or disco ones fit?)

Thanks in advance!
