Anglo-Frenchman Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 Hi, Posted this on the Disco forum but it may be an issue that affects Td5 Defenders also. Whilst doing about 50/60kph, my 2001 Td5 Disco simply cut out. No warning lights came on or anything just simply died. I turned the key and it re-started straight away but the problem persisted with varying amounts of time/distance between cut-outs. Checked under the bonnet but nothing obvious. Engine idles with no problems. I have read about oil in the ECU connector or something similar and wondered if this might be the cause. Otherwise could it be the immobiliser operating randomly? I'm not much cop at electrickery and gizmology so any adivce greatly appreciated. Heres me wishing I'd kept by dependable Defender 200tdi..................
