K88 MUD
Would guess there is something wrong inside of your dash clocks etc.

K88 MUD
Could try disconecting the speedo drive unit from the transfer box.....see if there is a fault in there.

Done that one as well and pulled the speedo wire all the way to the engine bay to make sure it was not worn through but keep them coming two heads are always better than one Warren
K88 MUD
Does it blow fuses if you unplug the dash ?
wozza35
Does it blow fuses if you unplug the dash ? No it doesnt even give you a chance the fuse blows as soon as the ignition is switched on and without the dash plugged in seems like i may have to go through every instrument one by one
western
sounds like a direct short in the ign controlled feed then, check the ign switch connections are all clear of each other & the terminals are fully insulated.
K88 MUD
Agree with western.....could also be the ignition switch......as you said.....just have to go through everything one by one.
wozza35
Dont know if this is connected and if it can give any clues but the stereo seems to power up for a few seconds and then go off
