stuntman Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 Has anyone dropped a whole discovery 300tdi engine and box into a defender ? I know I will have to fabricate a tunnel and I'll loose the centre seat, I just need to chat to someone who has done it before. Also I have a disco 300tdi complete that fell over whilst towing, everything is straight apart from the body work, axels are straight etc and the engine is great (my old family run around) Is it worth swapping the disc breaked axels from the 24 spline 300tdi disco onto the defender. It currently has the salisbury rear and 10 spline (? I think) front. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
western Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 Be much easier to find & fit a Defender R380 main gearbox, everything will be in the right place & no need to loose the cubbybox or centre seat.
