draper40
Hey, I was thinking (ouch!) has anybody fitted a gas strut (or two) to lift the defender bonnet as it would make life alot easier! Especially as I am 5'6 with a lifted 90! Pete
SiWhite
I've done it. I just need to lift the bonnet about 6 inches and it goes up the rest of the way itself. Magic. Can't remember what the strut was from, the boot of a scrapper of some sort. Only needed one.
Mo Murphy
I've done it on my rear door, so no reason why it shouldn't work on your bonnet Mo
SteveG
p38A Range Rover bonnet struts from a breaker would make a good purchase as they are more than man enough for the job and have a built in lock too. Cheers Steve
