Ryan
Answer - about twice as much as in this tray... I thought that today, what with pootling down to The Alps at the end of next week with a bunch of other Shires reprobates, that maybe I should take a look at the back brakes as so far, I hadn't taken the drums off. Drivers side was okay - I light dusting of sand and about 4mm on the shoes Over to the passenger side, and this is what greeted me: With the trailing shoe running from about 2mm to almost nothing, there followed a quick trip to purchase a new set of shoes which were fitted in short order. ozzie1989
Crikey! That looked like it had been submerged in runny mud or water for some length of time!
bishbosh
Impressive! Checked the wheel bearings lately...? How about the axle oil? Both could be worse for wear if the drum brake is any indication.....
hattymender
Aren't the oil leaks supposed to wash that out?
Ryan
Actually I'm more concerned all that sand might have been stopping any leaks...
