simon red90
one of my batteries has gone tits up. still under 2 years old and under warranty so was just gonna return it and get a new one. only thing is i bought it from scorpion and their reputation for dealing with returns is not all that great. thought i'd just send it straight to the distributors. anyone know who they are? davidlandy
Hi Simon I too would be interested when you find out as both mine arent quite what they were - but they are a little over 2 years old.

martyn668
I had an Exxide battery fail under warranty, but the place I bought it from was at first not interested, as they had had so many problems with Exxide batteries, they had decided to stop selling them. I contacted Exxide, and they said my contract was with the seller with them. I contacted the dealer again, who agreed, and took the battery back for a full refund. It turns out he had had a batch of 10, most of which had been returned.
BogMonster
We used to sell Exide/Chloride at work and had so many problems we also stopped selling them, we don't bother with anything other than the proper LR batteries now, which were Delphi last time I looked at one and almost never seem to go wrong. My D2 battery is six years old and still fine though the green light no longer "works" in the top to show it is fully charged, but as long as the oily bits go round I can live with that
roguevogue
When my third Exide Maxima went tits up I ditched them, now I run two Numax CXV-X batteries, they have already outlasted one of the Exides! They cost less too.
