tedsmart
Hello, If I were a good mechanic and having done timing belt changes on other vehicles other than a 300 Tdi, how long would you expect it to take to change the timing belt including the cam shaft seal crank seal idler & tensioner? the whole kit? How long would you expect it to take as long as nothing is seazed? Cheers ted

How long would you expect it to take as long as nothing is seazed? Cheers ted Allow about 2 1/2 - 3 hours to be on the safe side. I've done a 200 in about 1 1/2 hours but that was pushing it. Better to take your time and double check as you go. Matt
JimAttrill
LR stealers™ charge 3.9 hours if that is anything to go by. Not that anyone takes a 300Tdi to them anyway. The actual time it takes depends on whether some @sshole has glued on the damper or the pulley.
Les Henson
If you take your time, clean the inside of the timing cover etc, then expect about 4-hours. That's about how long it takes me and I'm a fussy bugger! Les.
