Aftermarket aircon regassing kits

Good for just a top up but remember that a proper A/C service will recover the oil, vac the system to boils off any water and then repleish oil and refill system. Good places will also do a leak check with a gas sniffer or a dye that shows up under a UV light.

There is a reason why the Halfords bottle are about £10-15 and a proper service is £60-90.

Just my thoughts on the matter :)

didn't they change the law recently on air con work? IIRC you are supposed to be properly trained to do the job safely

I think that is to do with the replacement of components, because you are dealing with a pressuised gas system. Altho I have fixed one leak with a couple of wraps of PTFE tape on a thread :P
