benbenukuk
Hi, If I decided to turn my 1989 rrc into a bobtail trayback would it need a IVA test? cheers. Ben
Milemarker Type S
Yes- as I understand it with the SVA- soon to be IVA- if you change the length of the rear overhang then the vehicle would need to be inspected etc... Were you to leave the overhang the same length and just trayback it (without doing any other mods to wheelbase/ suspension mounts etc) then the vehicle would not need to be inspected. Hybrid_From_Hell
Yes, if you muck about with the chassis, if you left the chassis alone maybe / prob not, but SVA / IVA is triggerred if you change the wheelbase or shorten the rear or front overhangs, or other changes to the chassis, EVEN if you have enough for the 'points system', .....the chassis mod overrides the points value Nige

DEANO3528
I think I like this new test thingy. It's going to stop people disfiguring my favourite vehicle somewhat. Happy days!
