fats_40 Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 well hello gents,more woes.i have p38 4.6 with 112000 on the clock.have recently replaced big ends on engine.the car was running fine until this morning when it started to miss a beat on acceleration.once you get up to speed ,ie,30 plus there is no problems at all.ive bought new spark plugs,leads and changed them over but the problem is still there.it seems to hesitate then its fine but this only happens on pulling away.any ideas will be tried.thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sheltie50 Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 Fully understand your thoughts it's like a spiders web under the bonnet, Follow all the small vacum pipes around the manifolds etc checking for any damage or pipe off, I saw one recently which was running really badly, turned out to be two broken pipes, some are in bad places and I cannot be sure this is your problem but it's worth a good look, easier when the engine is cold or at least cool.
