Harrod
Having got the box out of the donor RRC to go into my 110 i find its an LT77 whith all the bellhousings etc for the 300TDi. If i put it back in am i going to have trouble with the ratios, and end up screaming the nuts off it at 65MPH? Would you suggest that finding an R380 box with 300TDi bellhousings would be a better bet and does anyone have one please!?!? Cheers, Dave
Guest diesel_jim
The main gearbox won't make that much difference to the overall drivability (as in "engine revs"), a slight difference, but not much. It's the transfer box that does that, as long as you keep the same one fitted (or one of a same ratio) then all will be well.
Harrod
ok cool. Will the one on the box from the RRC be ok to use then?
