I know LPG is for barbeque's only but I could do with finding a reliable installer... any help would be grate

v8bertha
When I had my V8 disco many years ago, the local specialist at the time was Station Motors in Woolston, next door to the pub. Not sure if they still do it or not, but they may have contacts stioll if not.
Coastcard
I went to Hants autofuels in Stubbington (Fareham) to get my LPG install connected and certified as they were the original installers (Prins). Once he had finished sucking through his teeth and implying I could be in for a large bill IF this and that were wrong, I retreated gracefully. He even uttered the classic "Who installed this!!" comment....errrr you did My Sixth Sense was kicking in all over the place - as I say he did not do any work for me, but have seen some of his bills to the previous owner! Arun Autogas do have a good reputation (very helpful on phone) and there is a company in Basingstoke who also do Prins installs (I have no experience of them but probably my next port of call). Guest weeble
Just buy a kit and pipe it up yourself?Daan We used to be approved LPG installers up until approx 3 years ago. The 4.6 P38 has something strange on the injection/ management side that cuts the vehicle out when you try to run it on LPG. There are a few electrical components that had to be fitted to enable it to run correctly. Personally I wouldn`t recommend a self fit kit on this vehicle but use an approved installer. disco_al
We used to be approved LPG installers up until approx 3 years ago.My father bought a 406 V6 Peugeot and it was one of the most difficult conversions we carried out. It caused us many difficulties including suitable locations to site the components and then because of the way the intake system air bypass worked ment we had to almost fabricate a complete new air box Personally I wouldn`t recommend a self fit kit on this vehicle but use an approved installer . I was suppose to buy a nice diesel estate 406 pug for the wife how ever I have ended up with a p38 4.6 V8 did they do a v8 406 then??? :)

nas90
http://www.arunautogas.co.uk/ Fontwell. My nas had LPG conversion done at arun autogas, a few teething problems quickly sorted by the chief mechanic, a laptop and me driving around the Sussex countryside, that was 5? 6? years ago.
