Astro_Al
Looks from the photo like the tyre will hit it at full flex? How are they attached to the chassis? Al.
series3_mad
The front is fitted ti the bolt for the bulkhead and the back has to be mounted to the tub bolts using two bits of 6mm plate. Only just notice the back wheel i'll have to move them foreward a bit more

Tonk
made my sidebars from 50mm round tubing, welded them on though cos i dont think the rear outrigger is strong enough to bolt them to, my brackets (box section) run right back to the chassis, total cost, errrrrrrm nothing apart from a bit of time no pics though
Astro_Al
Nice Tonk - I was thinking of doing excatly the same - welding on with beefy outriggers and using round bar. Then I wondered about the safety of using a jack on a round bar (high lift) - in terms of being more likely to slip sideways. Did you incorporate receiver tubes for jacking? Any thoughts on this, since yours actually gets muddy from time to time, while mine currently just gets dusty!?! Or do you never need to use a jack... Al. Tonk
i've never found the need to use a hi-lift when offroad, i have 2 winches for that i mainly fitted them to protect the bottoms of the doors on trees etc
