Landowner
I have a green wire with a black trace which is loose in the gearbox area, any one any idea where it goes please. It's a 1984 110 V8
western
wiring diagram shows Green/lack trace as the fuel gauge wire from tank to gauge, so it could be a spare for a side mount [underseat] fuel tank, green/brown tracev = reverse lights black/blue trace = dif lock switch if everything is working, then tape the terminal & secure it out of harms way. Wires are a mess after swapping transfer box, need to find reverse lamps wire (thanks) and diff lock (thanks again). Can get it sorted now before the floors go in. Milemarker Type S
Off the top of my head I think the reverse light sensor uses a green wire and a green wire with black tracer
western
reverse light switch should have a Green [power from fuse box] & a Green/Brown trace feed out to reverse lights from the V8 wiring diagram in my Genuine LR Defender workshop manual.
