flatback90
just fitted the boost guge to the inlet manifold on my 200tdi, it has the pump tweaked as per instructions on this site and the wastegate rod adjusted. question is what sort of figures should i be looking at under load? white90
14.7psi watch the levels though as headgaskets are easy to pop
ciderman
I fitted an adjustable bleed valve when I did mine , I can adjust it between 12 and 19 psi , But tend to keep it at 15 psi to keep the EGT down , but when the loud pedal is needing a little more I wind it out fo max boost . flatback90
thanks boys will let you know how i get on in the morning! right then flat in 3rd and 4th gear its reading .8bar on the guage. the reading is taken from the steel pipe just where it joins the inlet manifold. this seems a little low from what the replies where last night. so is it a case of leave it or do i adjust the wastegate? discojmz
.8bar is stock for a 200tdi isnt it. so it depends what you want. As far as im aware, you can increase it by the wastegate arm or via a bleed valve up to the 1.0bar that the 300tdi engines run with, with no ill effect. no guarantee implied or given
