Alan Broadbent
Ok folks. I need to replace one of the body cappings on my 90 Hardtop. Is removing the hardtop side simply a case of unbolting and then replacing it with new sealing strips, or is it more complex than that? Is there anything odd I need to know about in the B post area? Thanks Alan
The Badger
The TD5 workshop manual is really handy for body work swaps. And the bearmach quick reference parts guide is great for looking for part numbers. I think you need to drill out quite afew pop revets
dave88sw
yeah, just unbolt them along the roof line and the top of the tub, you should probs get away with leaving the roof on if you support it well, drill out all the capping rivets and replace and then replace with new seal top and bottom
Retroanaconda
Mmmm, let us know how it goes. My cappings are rusting through at the top of the centre bulkhead, behind my seats

Alan Broadbent
Good idea - will dust off the wife's digtal camera. Don't hold your breath however as I will have to work on this outside on the road and will need to pick my time carefully. Alan
Philip Tonkin
That's interesting. I have just bought a bulkhead removal bar, the P&P one. Then instructions say that the roof must be removed as the hardtop sides are in the way. This must be easier? P
