tpk241
Hi All, Wanting to replace my very tired fin-less rad in the disco .. Anyone have any sources of rad suppliers that are cheaper than £100 ? The £100 ones are from island4x4 which are ally and plastic .. original ones are all metal ? Anyone know if these are ok ? Thanks in advance Stu
BogMonster
I just fitted a new rad core to my 110 which came from Bearmach, it was a bit more than £100 but I don't know what their UK prices are, there's a significant freight element getting stuff here. It was all metal and seemed well made, only required due to in incident with "non stretch synthetic winch rope"
DiscoStu
I got a bearmach from mailorder4x4.com/co etc. Looks really good quality and was about £100 with free delivery. Great service too, nice chaps. Stu.
stageonesimmo
Watch out for some after-market replacement rads - some of them come with fittings for the oil cooler that dont match correctly and you end up having to resort to cutting your existing pipes and using an 'olive' based seal joint rather than the original 'O' ring method - but of course, you only find out this fact after the engine has pumped its guts out all over the A66. Ask me how I know........
