Oil Leak

Mo Murphy

Recommended Posts

Oil coats the metal around the bell housing drain hole.

This is going to be an effing engine out job isn't it ?

Sounds like it. Got to be either engine crankshaft oil seal, or gearbox oil seal. Unless it's a cracked engine block, or gearbox case! Then you'd be really angry :o I had a cracked gearbox casing once, on one of my previous motors. That was very annoying!

firstly check it is oil my slave cylinder failed and leaked into the bellhousing

then x2 rear crank seals under warranty oil leak appears again nothing bad just a small amount, if I leave the wading plug in for ages no oil of any note appears when the plug is removed.

unless it is pouring out I would just ignore it.
