phil200tdi
Time to renew my insurance policy (currently with Sureterm direct) I know there are a few other companies which insure for offroad use (pay and Pay/greenlane) Anyone got any recommendations for service/value? or any to avoid? cheers Phil
Anderzander
Do a search. I think there was a big thread on this recently.
bobtail4x4
Greenlaning is NOT off road, they are just unmade, they are still legally roads, not many insurances will cover you for pay and play, you are not covered but as its not on road you dont need to be. as each insurance broker has different deals, sit down with a copy of one of the comics and a phone for an hour. Try the NFU - National Farmers Union. They have an office in most towns.
ChrisB
Careful! - not all NFU offices are the same as I recently found out! Price and Imber in Chippenham come highly recommended.

I must be lucky. . . I heard the same, but the Sturminster Newton area office is very sympathetic to the Landrover cause, bull bars & almost any modifications. kevinr
I used Adrian Flux as I do 4x4 response..which is a pig to get cover for!! Although Greenlaning is not offroading, I found alot of the companies I called dont make that ditinction between a greenlane and off road..as far as they are concerned, if it aint tarmaced, it aint a road! trying to explain became tedious at best, and down right infuriating at worst..but sureterm should do it, and adrian flux deffinatly will..I can't comment on proce as like I say, I had to get cover for 4x4 response, and that set me back over a grand!!! DrRob
Adrian Flux time and time again...cover for off road too....make sure you tell them of all mods however small they are. Insurace companies have a habit of wriggling out of claims if you have not declared everything........
phil200tdi
thanks for all the replies, I was going to renew with Sureterm but they sent me a quote with all the mods I told them about removed and with the condition of an imobiliser.. very lazy of them as I went through this with them last year!! I'll give Adrian flux and NFU mutual a call. Always good to play them off against each other to get the price down!! Its amazing how much the brokers can go down if they think they are going to lose you! cheers Phil
