chalkie52 Posted August 16, 2005 Share Posted August 16, 2005 GETTING PI$$ED OFF WITH TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE TO TIME MY 90TD UP... THE CAMBELT SNAPPED WHILST DOING 20mph DOWN THE A36 BEHIND A TRACTOR... GOT AA'd HOME. STRIPPED THE LOT DOWN AND DIESEL HAD BEEN LEAKING THRU THE SEAL ON THE INJECTOR PUMP, INTO THE CAMBELT HOUSING, AND THEN SPLASHING UP ALL OVER THE BELT.. ANYHOW, REPLACED THE SEAL, GOT NEW PUSHRODS ETC.. BUT STUCK ON HOW TO TIME IT UP, AND THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT TIME I LEARNED... PLEASE DON'T SAY "HAYNES" AS ME AND THAT BOOK DO NOT GET ON, BUT PLS COULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME IN LAYMANS TERMS HOW TO TIME THIS UP... I HAVE NOTICED THE DOTS ON THE COGS OR SPROCKETS, AND THE ARROWS ON THE CAST AND CAN GUESS THAT THATS HALF OF IT, BUT WHAT ELSE??? MANY THANKS IN ANTICIPATION...
