draper40 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I have a 2005 disco 2 and keep finding the drivers side footwell carpet to be soaking wet. I am in hot, dry Australia and so suspect it is condensation off the a/c due to a blocked drain. Is this likely? If so how do I clear the drain? Thanks Pete Quote
kevinr Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 if you look underneath the landy around the bellhousing area, you will see 2 rubber drain plugs poking out (one each side) these can be removed and cleaned. Quote
burn_e Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Agree with kevinr. If you don't intent to wade you might remove the plugs (just the end caps) completely. We have a dry and dusty climate here (Dubai), too. As a result of this the tend to be blocked. Cleaned mine twice within a quarter of a year and at the third time I just left them away and taataaaah no more blocks since a year. Quote
slitherman22 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 have you checked heater matrix to see if it is leaking as the pipes are on the drivers side Quote
Dave.Pretorius Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I have just had the same issue of wet carpets with my Disco TD5. It does not lose coolant - so this eliminated the heater matrix leak as the problem. Turned out to be the air conditioner drain plugs near bell housing. Cheers Dave Quote
