West4x4 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Thinking of fitting 35 inch tyres to my 110. At the moment its running some 31x10.50x15's and they look very lost in the arches as its running on heavy duty suspension which gives over 2 inches of lift compared to a freinds standard 110. So how much lift do you need to run 35's and those people wo run them how big is the gap between axle and bumpstop? i'll measure mine tommrrow and see how it compares Quote
treebloke Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 You can put 33" on a standard vehicle and 35" on a 2" lift but you will need to fit longer brake pipe to allow for the extra travel. I think Llama 4x4 sell them. However, if you use it for towing, big types sap power. Quote
JST Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 your gearing may need work as well to avoid clutch slip on hill starts etc Quote
West4x4 Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 It's a td5 with standard ratio gear/transfer box and diffs, feels like its undergeared as standard Quote
Deface Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I am running 35" tyres on my 90 with just a 2" lift, didnt have to touch the gearing but mayby im just luy the only other thing i had to do is trim the wheel arches as they were getting a bit close when articulating. ethan Quote
fender1234 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 ditto the above - the gearing is a bit high but it doesnt really bother me. Quote
