stevieg Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Hi all I really hope you can help, I have just got my first freelander 52 plate. It really is great BUT!!! I have had it about 7 days now and it was fine when I picked it up. Then about two days after it started making a banging noise when going over speed bumps. The noise is coming from the front drivers side and I think I know what it is. I had a vauxhall Zafira b4 this and I had the same problem on that. Me and a mate of mine replaced the drop arm if that is what it is called, it was only £15 and then it was fine. I think it is the same on my freelander cos when I jack it up I can move it about quite easily. Anyway the question is is it called a Drop Arm? and if not what is it known as? just to let you know what it looks like its like a bar with a ball joint on both ends. I have searched the net for drop arm and I can't find anything. I just want to get some idea of price and I can fit it I think. Cheers Guys. Quote

Les Henson Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 It's called an anit-roll bar link rod. It may also be the lower ball joint (part of the track control arm) Les. Quote
