mmgemini Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Here's how I modified my socket to loose the dim/ dip relay. mike Quote
Cat_J Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Out of curiosity what was the advantage of doing this? Did the relay break down? Quote
western Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 just gets rid of the relay if it fails & allows the lights to work normally without the dimdip function. Quote
mmgemini Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 Out of curiosity what was the advantage of doing this? Did the relay break down? A couple of inches of new wire and two Lucar connectors are a lot cheaper than the relay. A couple have asked how I did mine. I've only found the paper again today. The post is more for information than anything else. mike Quote

You must have posted as I posted. Not all work by taking the relay out. Mine certainly didn't. That's why I had to put the link wire in. mike Quote
western Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Yep, the earlier system with the black box behind the instrument pack just needs to be unplugged then normall system works fine. Quote
