neil00001 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Woke up this morning to this, will venture out later when the rush hour has cleared up in a few hours time....LOL My Neighbour was just leaving for work in his TD5 Disco when I took the first shot. The most snow I have seen in years........ Cheers Quote
Les Henson Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Couple of inches here - Gotta lie under an Escort and then a Transit and then an Astra, so no sensation in my bum nearly all day Les. Quote
FridgeFreezer Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Well there's a 6"x18" patch in next door's front garden and that's about it although it was snowing while I was washing* the 109 last night. * = Scraping the larger deposits of sand off Quote
q-rover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 None, but it was -11°C on the way to work. Quote
smo Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Not a sausage here in devon (exeter to plymouth) and i got to work only to be made redundant Quote
Top90 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I got to work only to be made redundant That sucks. The office here is so cold I'll be going bluetooth and laptop and sitting in my car soon... It was warmer in the Land Rover an hour after I got to work that it was inside. On topic bit: We had one inch of snow in Chelmsford. Quote
sheeppimp Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 just enough up here to freeze and form a nice icy sheet on the drive so we can't get out Quote
Holyzeus Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Had about an inch here but it's since rained slightly Quote
reads90 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 No snow here this morning , although would be handy as my outdoor pool is running at 32 degrees c and it could do with a bit of cooling down. Save me having to buy Ice to put in it. Although it got cold at the weekend temp dropped down to 24c for a bit . Quote

Madcowz Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Very little snow but the back roads were sheet ice this morning. I counted 15 cars in ditches on my way to work. Idiots driving too fast and then braking hard. Why do people never learn. Quote
headhunter Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 About an inch in Cambridge, now clear blue sky John Quote
ThreeSheds Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 5mm flakes spaced 20mm apart But I have just had to do a 15 mile round trip by motorcycle to get some bits so it's better that there isn't any really. Bggr me it's cold though! Quote

Prefer when it gets to 33 over this side, solar heater running on to push it up. Think we are acclimatising, anything lower than 25c and we think it's a jeans and trainers day rather than shorts and thongs (flip-flops as they may also be known ). Downside is that with the quality of house building here, we better hope that winter is no worse than 19c since this house has more draughts than my old series 3. Quote
Escape Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 We got about 2-3" in Flanders. Bad timing as I'm waiting for a new set of tyres... Quote

Cat_J Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 On the way to work there was about an inch but it turned into a blizzard about 6.40 when I left so I couldn't see a thing. Then on the way home about half 5 the roads were all ice, few cars in ditches but nobody in any of them. Quote
