vinny Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Ive replaced the lt77 with an r380 in my 90 and used a 300 seatbox and tunnel. I re-used the gearbox mountings and the remote housing from the lt77, but now the gearlever is sitting further left than I would like. Are the gearbox mountings different between the r380 and the lt77 or is it the remote housing thats different? Vinny Quote

Are there any benefits on doing this? Quote
roybatty666 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 the lever has splines at the point it bolts on, just remove the gator remove the 17mm nut a n pur the lever back on a spline notch further around Quote
vinny Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 the lever has splines at the point it bolts on, just remove the gator remove the 17mm nut a n pur the lever back on a spline notch further around Ive done that for now. Probably best to get a pic to show how close the casing is to the tunnel. It works fine at the min, im just fussy about these things Quote

western Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 possibly the tunnel hole for the gearlever to come through or the tunnel itself is different, the 'turret' & gearlever parts are common to both LT77 & R380, suggset you refit the LT77 tunnel panel, mine has a R380 with the original LT77 tunnel & it's fine, can add a phot with the rubber gaiter removed if you wish for comparision. one other thought are you using the R380 mounting parts or all the LT77 mounting parts, mine sits on the LT77 mounts. Cheers Western It must be the gearbox mounts that make the difference. I replaced the seatbox tunnel and the bulkhead bracket/skirt to suit the r380 but reused the lt77 chassy mounts(didnt realise i could have gotten away with the lt77 tunnel ). Ill look into getting some 300 gearbox mounts and see if they do the trick. Quote
