bushwhacker Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I have taken the head of my 2.5 n a d as it got over heated when a frost/core plug blew out. I have noticed two small cracks one each in the two middle inlet ports, that run from the edge of the valve to the edge of the swirl chamber it does look flat when I run a ruler over it. Is the head knackered. There is small pointed areas at the swirl chamber opening. The manual says this is ok if JUST small points, what do ya think. What is the best way to decoke a head. Quote
western Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 last time I did a head decoke I just used a small brass wire brush attachment in a lekky drill. to find if the head is flat or warped, use a set of feeler gauges along with the ruler. Quote
