Hamish Grundy Posted January 9, 2009 Share Posted January 9, 2009 i have biult a 300tdi auto 80'' trialer, i have used a rear rad set up to spread wieght, should the water pump be man enough to pump the water around the system? i am having trouble getting the top hose warm, the bottom hose warms fine but the top remains cold. any sugestions would be a help!! cheers, hamish Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You have to be spot on with bleeding air out though, have you got the expansion tank above the rad? yeah, its half way up the rear stay. i was thinking that i might park it on a bank 2moro and try again. i dont realy want the espense of an electric water pump. Hybrid_From_Hell Posted January 9, 2009 Share Posted January 9, 2009 I had twin rads on my old 3.9 hybrid V8. one in the front (BIG V8 rad) and a second rad on the down rails of the rear cage plus twin fans all ok from std pump The increase in fluid quantities alone was near double so made a massive difference Nige Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hamish Grundy Posted January 10, 2009 Author Share Posted January 10, 2009 right....ive been driving it most of the afternoon and all seems well at the moment, altho i have an oil leak at the pas pump and is causing the belt to slip. if it was going to get hot it probably would have by now wouldnt it? any one got a wide angle prop forsale??
