jonmlb748 Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 at long last i´m fitting my,200tdi in my na110.all going along swimmingly ,many thanks to your tech articles,they have been a brilliant source of info,written with humour and detail and have inspired me to tackle what is a big old job for me.only prob i have is wiring up starter motor. from what i understand mains battery lead and two sets of brown leads go to big stud on top of starter solenoid and exiter wire to spade connection .the other short red goes from sol to starter motor and is as from the disco(i haven´t touched it).when ever i try to connect the battery,sparks fly and there´s a clack clack noise coming from starter motor area. there is no key in the ignition by the way. what am i doing wrong,please help cheers. jon Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
