Astro_Al
Just a quicky - anyone know the approx dims of the rear load bay of a swb series 3 with no roof (like the square area when viewed from above)? Between bulkhead-behind-seats and rear tailgate, and obviously side-to-side. Cheers me dears. Al.
LR90
seat box to seat box about 36" (height of a 55 gallon drum) side to side about 50" (bit longer than my 48" waffles) and length, not quite so sure of this one but maybe 40" on a series. minivin
56 1/2" (1.435M) x 73" (1.854M) within Tub Cappings for a SIII 109" Interesting that the width is 4 foot 8 and a half inches, same distance between the rails on the railways within the UK
LR90
Hmm, I didn't get that right then did I Perhaps my waffles are 5' then. Won't fit between the rails but will fit sideways on top of the seat boxes.
minivin
I think I remembered the dimensions correctly, as I kept saying to myself while tying the canvas-up and locking the shed and locking the back door and coming upstairs to type it, could have had brain-fade
LR90
Yes, you're correct. 36" between seat boxes plus about a foot each side. I was having a dull moment earlier. Length of a 90 is just under 48" (know that cos I had to shorten my hilift) and I THINK a series tub may be an inch or so shorter still. That could possibly explain why the series hardtop sides don't fit a 90/110/Defender interesting <drums fingers together>
