Diesel_90
Hi, found on ebay a "tyron tyre band" and the like to this website http://www.tyron.com/pages/4x4.htm are they any good or just a waste of time?
western
the prevent the tyres beads from dropping into the wheel well & hence stop the deflated tyre peeling off the wheel, just another way of stopping the tyre/wheel coming apart when a puncture happens. Tyron bands are a LR approved fit for all models IIRC.
Diesel_90
so there not really a bead lock as such then, they just keep the tyre on the rim when its flat rather than keeping the bead sealed. Thanks.
western
I wouldn't call the beadlockers as we know them, just a safety device to stop the tyres peeling off after a puncture or blowout. more info ---->>> http://www.tyron.com/pages/products.htm
BogMonster
Yes they are a safety device and they make fixing punctures a right royal PITA! I have only seen one set (fitted to an ex demo 130 formerly owned by the factory) and they ended up in the bin!!
