maxtherotti
hi all i have got my self a 98 300 tdi manual its a great drive and all that but after my rangie it looks like its got mini wheels on it but swmbo says no lift or big tyres on this so im thinking of putting 255 65 16 tyres on it to try and fill the arches a touch more and as they are only 3mm taller she wont notice (lol yeah right) but will give it a wider footprint to look a bit chunkyer if you get what i mean but want to know if anyone else has put these on and do they rub any where?? rob
Pete Attryde
Depends a bit on what wheels you will be using? On mine when I had that size (on Modular wheels) I found they caught on the rear of the rear wheel arch when off road but were fine on road. Pete. BogMonster
They will fit fine on any factory alloys, I used to have them on mine
Steve H
245/70x16s will go on no probs, fill out the arches nicely & are about the biggest that don't need any trimming. Steve

Only adjustment needed was a minor touch to the steering lock stop bolts. Alloy wheels.
upnover4x4
A friend has fitted bfg 265/75/16 ATs to his disco, all that was needed was a slight trimming of the rear quarter & adjusted stops.

Orgasmic Farmer
I run 265/75/16 BFG MTs on a 3 door disco commercial. Needed the Camel cut on rear arch and a small trin off the front plastic valance. I have a 30 mm lift (spring spacers) and the wheels are standard offset. No problems with rubbing at all sorry no pics
