Series 1/2 primary pinion

Recommended Posts

No is the answer.

In my parts book 518473 is described as 'Up to gearbox suffix 'B' inclusive. 542231 - From gearbox suffix 'C' onwards.'

The primary pinions are a matched pair with the constant gear (ie mainshaft and layshaft gears) - and the Suffix 'C' gearboxes had a stronger layshaft with the deletion of the circlip - which presumably is why I'm replacing one on a suffix 'F' box which has snapped like a carrot where the circlip should have been.
