nokiamutt
Ive been restoring a modefied 90 with a 200tdi engine and rad setup , the problem is that the oilpipes have been butchered together to make them fit the oil cooler . Im wondering if there is anyone on the forum with info on where i can get acceptable pipes to use instead of the mess i have on there or should i go and get some fabricated by someone like pirtech etc ? western
as you have both ends [metal pipes] you could get Pirtek or similar to reuse these to make new pipes or buy new from LR or Indy LR parts supplier, the correct hoses depend on chassis number, but as yours is a conversion that won't help, unless you know the last 8 digits of the vehicle the engine/rad came from info below should help
poohbear
Nokiamutt, I have original TD oil pipes in my 90 conversion - you just need to change the unions in the radiator to match. 200Tdi engine - TD oil pipes - TD unions - 200Tdi radiator. Hope that helps. Dave.
ciderman
I drew a blank matching up the original fittings so I replaced the fittings for 3/8"BSPT (Rad side) and 1/2" BSPP (Hose side) ,and had some 1/2" hoses made up and swaged on to the engine side of the fittings . Cost about half of a genuine set and a better looking job ,

The simple looking youngster who served me said casually "no wurries butt come back in an ower " he had a slightly vacant look about him & i now know that my origial fears of giving him the hoses to be right Try again i supose on my next day off . Note the yellow markings on the hose and fitting , I brought it all home in peices , Fitted it comfortably and then marked it all , took it all off and back for swaging
