Steering Shimmy/wobble

I have posted this elswhere but still no result. I have a slight wobble/Shimmy on my steering. I can feel it worse as the steering is returning to centre after a slight turning of the steering wheel. I can feel it at walking speed it then disappears at 30 then returns and goes at 50 and then disappears from the steering wheel at motorway speeds and beyond but I can feel it through the gear lever slightly at 70ish as a side to side vibration, only faintly though.

I have had the front balanced, that didn't cure it, I swapped the wheels side to side, that had no effect so I swapped the wheels front to rear and still the same. The car is slightly out on the tracking as it pulls to the left slightly.

I doubt it is the prop bearings as I cannot feel it throught the body and there is no noises from the gear train so doubt if its ird, transfer or gearbox.

The tyres that are fitted are not the best of makes, think they are called federal. Any ideas where to go next. I have just changed the Dif mounting as that was shot but not helped.

Ihad similar issues but on a different car. Turned out to be the bushes. They had all gone spongey so weren't holding things as well as they should.

Might be worth checking, should be able to see if they are well worn just by having a look and a prod! Mine had actually cracked quite badly too so that made it more obviously lol

Turned out it was the tyres so had them replaced and all seems good.
