Steve Warman
A while ago a link was posted by, I think, Simon from X-Eng for an industrial auction site for workshop tools and wondered if anyone knew what it was? Thanks Steve

Steve Warman
I'm after a pillar drill I probably would have had one of the aldi specials but missed it Wickes have one on sale at the moment for just under 40 quid
Astro_Al
Well, if you just need something that drills in a straight line, machine mart have some cheapos. Ebay is good for decent quality pillar drills - Meddings / Herbert etc. No great issues swapping the motor to 240V. Industrial supply places will have the quality but not at that price. Steve Warman
Cheers Al, I've been looking on ebay but nothing so far. as far as the industrial sites go, you never know what may be there so worth a gander at least probably end up with the wickes one as they're on sale at the mo
Astro_Al
What are your criteria, cos I just ebayed 'pillar drill' and found a lot of nice machines. Quite a lot are already 240v too. Al.
Steve Warman
A lot of them are around £100 or more and also about 100 miles away. Just wondered if anything was near by
Mark
Have a look on homeworkshop.co.uk - it's not an auction site, more small ads for model engineers, but workshop equipment if often advertised. Mark
