Traco
My D1 V8 auto gearbox to oil cooler hoses are leaking where the rubber is crimped to the metal pipes. Are these pipes replaceable individually or in a kit? Or can the pipes be cut and high pressure oil cooler hose be inserted and clamped on to the pipe ends with jubilee clamps? JimAttrill
Get the pipes made up by a proper hydraulics place. That's what we do with the 300Tdi oil cooler pipes - the OEM LR ones are expensive and useless.
ciderman
You have a choice , you can get new hose swaged onto your existing pipes or have the whole lot replaced with new complete hoses . Its a job I have just done on my defender , The pipes are 1/2" the fittings are 1/2" BSP 90 deg , the gearbox and cooler adaptors are 16mm >1/2"BSP Dont forget you may have a temperature warning switch in one of the pipes so this will have to be taken into consideration , Mine is to be mounted in the gearbox sump . All hoses in pics are in an un-swaged state whilst getting the distances and angles right .
