poohbear
Hi all, can somebody tell me what bolt should be in the flywheel housing inpsection hole - might be going swimming this weekend and wanted to make sure the bits that need to stay dry do! Its a TD flywheel housing if that helps Also need to fit a breather/drain as the original drain hole is now blocked by the crankcase on the Tdi! How easy is it to drill and tap a hole in the bottom of the housing without destroying the starter teeth on the flywheel or filling the housing with swarf? Dave. western
it's a taper thread IIRC, the LR part is 3290 same as fitted in the TD engines timing case drain hole. the 200Tdi uses a hex head with a flange ERC7295 & also used to seal the flywheel housing drain.
