simonr
I need to buy some (20 pairs!) terminal posts for batteries - the type with M10 studs for connecting on to. Everywhere I look - they seem to be rubbish quality and will be expensive by the time I've bought 20 pairs for a little project. Any ideas where I can get some 'nice' ones for a sensible price? cipx2
I think you're after the so called marine battery terminals << click for some links to check them out. The same type of terminals are used in the solar power industry. You can try this market as well.
Ryan
You could try Barden Batteries. They're just round the corner from where I work, so I can always grab a pair and post them to you so you can check the quality (next at work on Thursday, but I'll be passing by the area tomorrow). rtbarton
These people do them Beal with M8 studs. They are the clamp type terminals that go round the posts (the bits on the battery) £16.70 + vat & carriage for 10, state positive or negative. Si If you can make do with M8 studs then these are about the cheapest I have found http://www.thewiringproject.co.uk/ShowDetails.asp?id=538 if they must be M10 I know they are very hard to find and ridiculously pricey. The last time I wanted M10 studs on Battery terminals, I made some up with some normal Solder on Terminals and M10 bolts but they had the Studs coming out at 90degrees compared to the Marine type ones. simonr
Thanks chaps - bought a load from one of the above. M8 will be fine - and they wound up costing about £!.80 each all in. Si
