wheatfielder
I have just bought this brand new and genuine cubby box on ebay. Presumably when I un-bolt the middle seat it will be a peice of cake to fix in. As its going into a 1991 200tdi station wagon will it need to be modified or am i right in thinking it should be a walk in the park and bolt holes etc. will all be there? many thanks. Dave K
It should just bolt in. I used Rivnuts, but you can use almost anything. You may have to drill a few holes, but it's not rocket science. I've never fitted a Standard Cubby box, only pattern or Secure boxes.
Dinkydave
Mine just sits loose on the inspection cover, it's never moved around. Ade
rallycinq
I made up a plinth in 3/4 ply for mine. Covered it in ribbed mat, screwed the cubby to it, then bolted the plinth into rivnuts. Now it completely fills the holes between the seats so that 'stuff' can't escape down the sides. The rubber matting overhangs the front and is tucked under the material on the trans tunnel.
