P38 Battery Drain

Charge the battery and see if the faults go away.

Then next time you park the vehicle, check the red light by the gear selector.

It should switch off after about 3 mins, this means the BECM is asleep.

If it comes back on it means some errant radio signals are causing the remote sensor

to wake up the BECM.

Now instead of drawing about 0.1A, the awake BECM draws about 1A.

Next test is disconnect the remote receiver antennna, and see if the BECM continues to

wake up, and check that it is the updated part no.

Later ones have a much narrower frequency band so are less likely to be waking up the BECM.
