Wessex Hillrunners @ Slab Common 29th March 2009

Hi all,

I am Sam the Events Organiser for Wessex Hillrunners Off Road Enthusiasts based in Hampshire.

We are holding an event at Slab Common in Bordon on Sunday 29th March 2009.

Slab Common is a large sandy military site with lots of standing water and some wooded areas. The site caters for all capabilities with lots to keep you occupied! Andy our Chief Marshall will be using his number system for the site, where if you require assistance you give the number you are closest to so that marshalls can find you quickly and easily. Recovery points will be checked on entry and if there aren’t adequate recovery points, for safety reasons you could be turned away. There will be availability of some recovery items from the club shop on the day. The price for this event is £30.00 per vehicle with additional drivers being £5.00 per driver. The site will be open from 10am till 3:30pm; all vehicles must be off site by 4pm.

This event will be run by invitation so that we can maintain the high safety standards that our members have become accustomed to. If you are a member of club that you think would like an invite, please send me details of the events officer so that i can make contact. For those of you that may not be aware, Slab Common is the adjoining site to Hogmoor Inclosure.

The site is very similar, there is just more military machinary on Slab!!

You don't need to be a Wessex member to attend.
