ianpittas
my 87 r/rover has the vertical grill, i have a plastic horizontal one now but am wondering about the head light fitting as when i went to swap the grill my lights are attatched to the two metal surrounds, and there appears to be nothing to attatch them to on the plastic grill.????? am i being thick and missing something very obvious, i was in a rush as the missus would have gone mad if she caught me tinkering AGAIN .!!!!! bishbosh
Headlights don't attach to a hirzontal grille. Don't know the detail of the vertical one I'm affraid, but the horizontal one only has holes in it for the lights to poke through.
roversteve53
Hi The headlights are attached to the front panel behind the grill ,All you need to do is drill the small tabs on the new plastic one to line up with the self tapping screws that hold the old one on,I did this to my 1972 RRC to update it (I know, but it was a long time ago when the new grills first came out). Hope this helps. Steve.
